The Dancing Lady Orchid is a popular group of orchids from the Oncidium alliance, admired for their elegant sprays of colourful flowers that resemble tiny dancers in swirling skirts. The nickname comes from the distinctive flower shape: a broad, ruffled lower petal (lip) that looks like a dancer’s dress with smaller petals forming the upper body.
Because of their graceful flowers and relatively easy care, Dancing Lady orchids are a favourite choice for indoor plant collections, orchid enthusiasts, and decorative floral displays.
